ABOUT ME
My career began in the arts industry after obtaining an Art History degree from the University of Leicester. However, it soon became evident I wanted to travel and I had a knack for planning. I tend to say ‘The only trip you will regret is the one you don’t take’ and ‘If you don’t plan, you plan to fail’.
My second job after graduation allowed me to circumnavigate the globe twice, sky dive in Hawaii, see Swan Lake at the Bolshoi Theatre in St Petersburg, visit Marina Sands Bay in Singapore, hike across the fjords in Norway and enjoy the clear blue pacific ocean surrounding the coast of Fiji. I’ve traveled to approximately 90 countries and counting. My desire has always been to make an impact within the field I’ve chosen, meet new people and experience a variety of cultures whilst achieving success at work. Whilst I am based in the UK, luckily my work within events has led me to a variety of international locations. Places, that I perhaps wouldn’t have seen in my life time had it not been for an intuitive choice to work in this intense but rewarding industry.
I’ve worked in various capacities within events for 10+ years. Beginning in my early twenties, working full time at venues such as Royal Museums Greenwich, The British Museum and London Stock Exchange. My experience spans corporate events, operational management of conferences, private events such as the James Bond ‘Spectre’ after party, project management and delivery of the Michael Bublé concerts in Doha, Capital Market Days and Results Presentations. In the latter years, I have focused on freelancing, working with a number of high profile clients within the live entertainment sphere. Below you’ll be able to see the projects I’ve worked on over the past 2.5 years.
My freelancing career has gone from strength to strength, I have a 100% success rate, a wealth of knowledge to offer and I can honestly say, that I work seamlessly with teams to reach their delivery goals. Over the years, I have gained project management qualifications to help me not only work efficiently but also proactively. Whilst I am a freelancer now, I am always open to new roles whether they be temporary or permanent as I believe no career path is linear.
“Operations keeps the lights on, strategy provides the light at the end of the tunnel, but project management is the train engine that moves the organization forwards.”

Insight into a few of the freelance projects that have made a lasting impact on my experience.
Terhal By Dragone
Known globally for its innovative reinvention of theatrical live entertainment, Dragone’s imaginative creations play to sold-out venues across the world. I had the pleasure of working with them as they debuted a world first in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Culture, TERHAL. The first production of its kind in the Kingdom, TERHAL was an original, live theatrical spectacular that celebrated the rich culture of Saudi Arabia, featuring acrobatics, stunts, aerial performance and special effects, Starring a combined cast of local Saudi artists and international collaborators from over 20 different countries. From the pictures, it looks as though this venue was already in-situ. However, it was purpose built venue tailored to the needs of the show.
I worked on this project from December 2022 through until April 2023. Based in Saudi Arabia for the duration of the build, live shows and de-rig, I worked for both the agency hosting the show, Hwadi and Dragone as the project manager. On any given day, I would be supporting the Project Director by crunching the numbers in the budget, managing shipment of the props from all around the world or organizing flights and insurance for crew.
Parris Goebel x Nike
On July 5, 2023, Nike hosted “Goddess Awakened” in collaboration with choreographer, dancer, artist, athlete and Nike partner Parris Goebel. “Goddess Awakened” was an experience celebrating the collective power of womanhood through movement, style and self-expression. Marking a next era for Nike Women, the event featured a dance performance directed, choreographed and led by Goebel, brought to life by a collective of more than 30 Nike athletes and partners.
I was fortunate enough to work on this project with celebrities such as Ibtihaj Mohammed, Adwoa Aboah and Jacquemus in attendance. As the Logistics Manager working for XYZ (the agency leading the creative production), I organised the crew hotels and travel, supported the production team with pre-rehearsals and managed talent logistics. The end result was spectacular! There’s nothing quite like working in Paris during the Summer on a event focused on celebrating and empowering female creativity.
Great Futures
The business ties between Saudi and the UK were the big theme of the first day of the Saudi Great Futures investment conference which took place on 14 & 15 May 2024. Executives from hundreds of British companies were in Riyadh as part of a 350+ delegation led by UK Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden, to connect with senior government and business decision-makers from Saudi Arabia’s ultra-ambitious giga-projects, and establish long-lasting relationships, in addition to planning how to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 a reality. The two-day Saudi-UK investment conference attracted partners in Companies such as British Airways, Diageo and HSBC.
I worked on this project as Logistics Manager, firstly managing crew hotel accommodation and then as the venue manager. I liaised with venue security and operations management to ensure the seamless running of the two day conference. Whilst onsite, I organised access for suppliers, worked on the EMP, wrote and conducted host briefings, streamlined accreditation and had oversight over catering and transport management.
Let’s Build!
'“We each have a different role, but we each have the same job. To help the team win”.
- Mike Robbins -
There are a number of great reasons for being a freelancer in the events industry. One is being able to support a plethora of clients across the world in bringing their visions to life but the most important one to me, is collaborative working to achieve the greater goal. I have worked with some of the most talented individuals in the events sphere. Having a network of trusted colleagues is invaluable.
Whilst I am not currently connected to one specific agency, I’m always open to the possibility of strengthening my relationships long-term.

Am I open to working on different types of events?
Absolutely! Whilst a lot of people think you should specialize in one particular type of event. Freelancers usually work across the board slotting in where they are needed. We all tend to have a specific set of skills but for me personally I can work on private parties, weddings, live entertainment projects, exhibitions and conferences. I often see myself as a chameleon adapting to my environment, as second nature.
